Re: Windows 7

I was wondering should I mess with my mtu rwin mss like I did with xp or is W7's 'auto' actually any good? and by any good I should specify "as good as I can possibly get it considering I'm not on a landline but a vivid wireless connection".

Thx.

Around April this year... it went up when the free RC1 version expired.

I wonder why then I only rate a 7.1 with the same sort of drive?

Not that I think it is slow, just curious :P

hope you got the install disc cos it sounds like you got a rooted install

every other win7 user on here doesnt have those issues

then after you've reinstalled , update windows, then install drivers and you should be good to go

After being an avid XP Pro fan since inception, there is no going back now.
Win7 is a great follow up OS.
Vista was defiantly the beta for Win7.
The only problem I have found with it is no support for my old HP printer.
I guess that is HP though for not releasing a driver.

I've got a single curious problem with my Win7-x64, the power setting for the monitor to go into stand-by mode get resets to 'never' automatically by some process.

I'm forever setting it to 15 mins but at some point it gets set back to 'never'. I figure there is a process or other program doing it but I just can't track down what it is. Quite annoying.

I've trying setting up my own custom power profile and setting that, but it still gets reset, any tips in tracking it culprit down?
