I tried a mates logitec and i just can't adjust to the shape of the thing, it's blocky and uncomfortable and tbh i couldn't feel much difference between that and my 10 year old microsoft 5 button, I play with a high enough mouse sensitivity that i don't need to change it when i zoom things and the mouse was just fugly and uncomfortable.

I currently have a G700. I don't particular like it. I think it's the weight of the thing.
I always use a mouse with a fingertip grip, and this thing is pretty heavy and it makes the experience somewhat uncomfortable.
Looking to get a new mouse.

Currently tossing up between a Razer Deathadder, or a Steelseries Xai. Not sure if the Xai is worth the extra cash over a DA. I like DPI switching mid game, but I could manage without it if I had to I'm sure.
Trying out my friend's DA the shape is somewhat comfortable, but I can't try a Xai to compare.
Anyone got experience with either mouse and can offer some opinions?
Maybe I should look at other mice, like a Lachesis or Imperator?
Please help me make decisions as I am indecisive.

[EDIT]
So reading over the Steelseries FAQ, supposedly the Xai conflicts with my model motherboard's BIOS to induce a 3 minute delay to boot if it's plugged in. Eww.
Razer it is then :\

I still have the original DeathAdder and I still have it for a reason. Awesome, awesome mouse.

Don't Steelseries just sell other peoples products re-branded?

I hadn't heard that.
The Xai/Sensei/Kinzu are very reminiscent of the Intellimouse, but I haven't heard that they were rebranded products.
Anywho, I dropped cash on a Deathadder, so I'll let everyone know how I like it when it arrives.
I'll have a G700 up on eBay soon I think :P

Hmm, never poked my head into this section of the forums before..

For me I couldn't go past my Logitech G9..2 years+ old and with no signs of wear and tear, runs like a dream and is simple and comfortable in it's design. If it sadly dies one day, I would be looking for the same again.

I used a G9x for a few months, was extremely uncomfortable for me. I tried to force myself to get used to it but my hand just started aching after a while.

Gone back to my old G5 for now and looking into a new mouse, will probably give Razer a shot, Death Adder most likely. Naga looks nice too, the extra buttons would be handy but seems like it would take a while to get used to it.

I bought a CM sentinel zero-g, i think its a pretty well rounded mouse.. for $59, can't really go wrong, has a little lcd screen on the mouse as well that you can put pictures into.. atm i have the mushroom from mario bros.

Has weights in it as well that you can take out or put in as you please, nfi why.. maybe for fps and stuff like that you may want it heavier but for an rts you may want it lighter.

Different strokes eh!
Just the opposite for me, even after using the same basic shape (MX 510 and G5) for five years. G5  G9
The G500 a big dud. I was getting a sore middle finger trying to avoid accidental R mouse clicks, and had
similar issues trying to avoid the rear side button.
The G9 is the most comfortable mouse I've used. Doesn't really matter which shell I use, both are comfortable.
Maybe my aging fingers just needed a different angle on the dangle.

Received a G9x for Christmas but I just can't get use to it. I find it extremely uncomfortable with my large hands. I tried forcing myself to use it for the past 2 weeks but it's just not happening for me. I think I'll just replace my buggy/dying Razer Imperator with it's revised edition.

I know I only just mentioned the Deathadder but I'm going to give it another plug...

Everyone complains about Razer stuff dying or not quite working properly but I've personally never seen a single quality related complaint about the Deathadder. I certainly haven't had a single issue with mine and I've used it for hours every day for about 2 weeks short of 4 years (ahhh my poor aging rig :P ).

My hands are long, but not thick, and I'm mostly just using my fingers, with the knuckles resting on the back end of the G9 instead of trying to palm it, as I have always done with previous mice.
So while I always thought I was a palm gripper, I guess claw grip is the real me.

I've been using a Gigabyte Ghost GM-M8000 for over 2 years now. Since it isn't buitl anymore, I recommend to my friends getting the bigger brother, the GM-M8000X, a step up in sensor and onboard profiles.

But yeah, I must agree the Death Adder is still a kick **** buy, even nowadays. Good overall package.

I brought a Steeelseries Sensei because every magazine and their dog said it was awesome, what they failed to say is the software is terrible. I thought all the issues I was having was because my system was out of date however I have a completely new system less than 2 weeks old and I am still having issues left, right and center.

Great mouse when it works however the software seems to be sub par.
