just stock, and I had a look at the settings and there doesn't seem to be a brightness control so it must just be my graphics card.

and the curtis p-40 warhawk is freeware, part of the p-40 kittyhawk package; 6 planes in all 2 are twin engine variants but I'm having issues with those atm, throttle is stuck at 50% when I load the flight and the rudder pulls hard to the left so I plough into the nearest building; I'll need to setup a power off save and try that. the warhawk also starts with a fair amount of throttle but braking gently and powering down stops it quickly. It is a very touchy bird and will fall into a spin if your to rough with the controls when realism is set to max, good fun though.

I took a flight from lake pedder to hobart in an intense thunderstorm on friday arvo, great fun

taking off from Lake pedder, severe cross wind pushed me clear off the runway as soon as I lifted off the ground

red lining the p-51d, I was desperate to get up to 6k feet before I hit a mountain side.

Hobart town; the only way to tell how close you were to the ground was to look out the window down over the wing lol

love the shots, especially the last two. I find trying to put a bird like that on the ground in the best conditions challenging. Gratz on managing the conditions :D

Some photos of the Mooney Bravo in both FSX & Prepar3d. This plane is a direct import from the FS9 days and is getting a make over, hopefully to be released..fairly... soon.

My attention for FSX has been challenged over the past month with some other great (and not so great sim releases) - of which I will post some shots once I find some good ones :)

Over Bruce Rock, WA

Practising ILS approaches over France. This is quite fun, set the auto pilot to NAV and man-handle the throttle to control the altitude, then cut the auto pilot completely on minimums and put her on the ground.

About to cross the straight

Couple of shots over YMML and surrounds

And just a nice day :P

Next up will be some DCS shots and some Flight shots, then I'm thinking I'll go storm chasing :D

thanks, it was a great flight especially getting out of the cloud and seeing the airport and the derwent river, looked great in that late afternoon winters light. It is a difficult plane to take off as you can't see the runway until the tail lifts and that engine pulls hard to the left as soon as you push the throttle forward so you have to look out the left window and start with the rudder slightly right, can only imagine how difficult that would have been during ww2; the bubble canopy gives you great visibility and it has a great climb rate so worth the effort.

It's been a while since I've done an ILS landing, might have to give your suggestion a try; nice pics again v4moose.

cheers :)
