'Lifted from my 3fl post'
If you played Freespace and freelancer, you have a fair idea what the combat is like. Its a 3rd person shooter where you fly around in a spaceship. At the moment theres 3 gametypes (FFA, TDM, CTS).
Its free, and only 185mb. Couldn't see any internet servers, but you can host your own (internet and LAN). Great fun playing with a few friends.
Just a few notes I ran into.
-Windows 7 users will want to install in Admin mode (rclick the installer and run as admin).
- When playing the tutorial the game crashed when I got killed by combat drones *Fixed by creating a folder called 'Tool' in 'CSiS/Tool', and moving 'Reporter.exe' into that* (I think the game was looking for it in a folder that didnt exist). So you end up with the following
'C:/...../CSiS/Tool/Tool/Reporter.exe'
- Running into semi stationary objects (like asteroids and bases) is instadeath.
- Game looks very shmick
