Ship Simulator Extremes

G Day All,

Well one of my fav line of sim games (Ship sim) have finally released a new version :D

Ship Simulator Extremes

Is more or less an upgrade from it predecessor ship sim 2008 with more ships a different interface and a slight upgrade in graphics but some what more of a system hog, arma2OA uses around 10% of my system this game uses 99%

The boats looks good but the background isn't to crash hot at all and as its a game where its played in real time so it takes a long time to get any where or do anything you have a lot of time on your hands to look around so its a bit disappointing they didn't spend a bit more time on the scenery.

It is a sim though and it is more about gameplay than graphics and on that side its outstanding it takes all the little things into account like currents and wind direction, the controls in this one are a lot more user friendly and supports all the fancy controller toys for sims.

A new feature in this one is you can deploy and use any boats you may have on your ships such as life boats etc. Theres also some Greenpeace vehicles that have little launches on them and they have water cannons on them, I can see this been a bit of fun on mp everybody running round in speed boats with water cannons

Theres a heap of missions as well as a chance to re-enact some real life ones such as when Greenpeace where chasing down the whalers in Antarctica and theres a couple of new ports such as Sydney :D

Available from Steam for $39.99 USD

Thats cool, I enjoyed the other ones, But couldn't get too seriously into them, They do get a little boring after a while with nothing to see etc...

Your right though, If they put more into the scenery and had animals everywhere like birds, Sea life, Whales etc it would make the game much more fun.

Maybe even implamented a fishing game or something since half the time the boats in whoop whoop land and takes an hour or so to get anywhere.
