Rudd or Gillard?

Unread postby Yurtles » 23 Feb 12, 1:13 pm

Who would you like to see win the leadership ballot on Monday?

I had no preference until just recently when Gillard backed out of the pokies deal she had made the very second she had the ability to. It pushed me over the line and I feel she's just too much the political animal with no substance of her own.
And isn't it a wonderful coincidence that all this is coming to a head, with Gillard and all her supporters all over the news whilst Kevin is stuck on a plane unable to respond? What a stroke of luck for Julia that is.

I really, really don't like either of them but I dislike Krudd a smidge less than JuLiar. Can't wait for the next election..

The whole thing is a frigging joke. We, as a country, look like some kind of comedic stage show. What a frigging embarrassing image we convey on the international stage.

Im sick of having half wit, fat cat, knuckle dragging robots and the people who control them as my choice of who leads our country.
Sick to death of it.

Masterful planning by Kev, IMO - leave the Labor talking heads to themselves and they put both feet in quicker than you can blink.

He deliberately called for an interview with a "waiting plane", in a bid to interrupt Gillard's morning press conference. Say what you will, he's a clever media manipulator.

You'd be surprised at how it is all perceived overseas. The soap opera aspects are a beat-up by our own useless media... reputable outlets overseas treat the subject with significantly more respect and impartiality.

Honestly? Thy're both as bad as each other. I'd never vote for 'Mad Monk' Abbott, but there's nothing to recommend either Gillard or Rudd either.... Such a wonderful state of affairs we have in this country that none of the current 'leaders' are worth a cat fart.

Is the Candeh option a vote for the faceless men behind the power?

I'll probably burn my vote next election and vote for the "free marijuana" party or something, I refuse to vote for Abbott and I don't think Rudd should be anywhere within 2000km of a position which involves running the country or liasing with another country, he's petty, cruel and he's got small man syndrome, i hope he loses just so his political career can end.

The parties need to turf Rudd, Gillard and Abbott and vote up some non-retards who can get on with the business of running the country. I can't count the times i've watched questiontime and heard one side or the other arguing against something that would be great for the country simply because it wasn't their idea... anyone over the age of 45 in politics needs to be fired and this **** needs to start over.

The Libs actually had an intelligent leader in Turnbull... but the Caucus was too stupid to see it, and replaced him with the Mad Monk.

Gillard has my strong support. Get past all the media **** and brain-dead commentary about "Juliar" and the like, she has taken a very challenging political situation and has been extremely successful at implementing her agenda. However if Rudd got in I'd have no choice but support him, as Abbott would be an utter disaster for this country. Apart from Turnbull none of them have any clue regarding the economy or any other factor of any importance. Hockey as treasurer, Bishop as Foreign Minister, Abbott as PM... Pyne as anything! We are talking about a man so useless that he appeared on a cooking show and had to sub in Amanda Vanstone to cook tomatoes and pasta... what a scary thought.

I don't favour either party. However i wouldn't mind seeing Turnbull as the Lib leader. For some reason i like his arrogance. :?

I find this scary, I believe politics should not be about popularity but rather issues and not personal agendas.

Unfortunately it doesnt matter who is in power, I think the post I made with Judge Napoletano pretty much sums it up, each party is the same as the other, every election we hear both sides saying they will fix illegal imigration, fix the economy, fix this and fix that, but things stay the same, just the names change
