allowing players to sell a city's obsolete buildings later in the game in order to reduce maintenance costs are subtle, but quite welcome.

Rounded out financial information in the Economic Overview screen. Details now provided on the amount of gold provided by each city, the cost of buildings in each city, etc.

Excellent. If your play style tends to turtling and infrastructure, like me, you can dig yourself a fairly deep economic hole, it's welcome indeed. :)

The Annex/Puppet/Raze popup now indicates how much extra Unhappiness will be assumed with each action.

Nice, that was a bit of a gamble.

Balance - Disbanding units now provides only 10% of their production cost in gold.

That's a pity, was a nice little earner when you were running short on funds with a huge standing army. :P

I'm the same sort of player I like to build up a big city and goto war only when pushed into it, you should check out my mod I have tried to make the city building part of the game more enjoyable and wouldn't mind some feedback on the changes. :P

Anyone still playing Civ 5?

Got an opinion of the patched up version compared to the original release version?

Trying to decide if it is worth downloading again.

I have Civ IV and Civ V loaded - the last one I started - more than a month ago - was Civ IV.

Played Civ V for a while - but it was somehow unsatisfying - and couldn't really get back in to IV.

Pretty much... and I can't put my finger on why that is. It's pretty, I like the new hex map, but the franchise lost something along the way. And little things, like the space victory not giving a cut scene, feel wrong.

Something core to the game is missing, it has no soul.

Ah, I was afraid it was still a bit under par.

Thanks for the feedback!
