RUSE

Anyone buy this game?

I did and at first i liked the game but after you start playing the campaign you begin to wonder what type of game it is. The Battles seem more like the zerg in Starcraft2. No matter how hard you try and beat the zerg the AI seems to always have the upper hand.

Watching the way the AI builds it just seems to sit on the supply depots and just builds Heavy Tanks. After about 5-10mins of play the AI just pours in all over your base. This game looks good but the AI is too smart.

Yeah I've got RUSE.

I've been slowly making my way through the campaign. The first few missions were totally boring but it is improving. I'm yet to try skirmish or multiplayer.

I actually really like the game mechanics but from what I've read the only truly awesome way to play it is multiplayer as the AI is pretty hit and miss. Unfortunately I think the community is pretty small so it might be hard to find suitable noobish opponents in order to learn the game.

If any beginners want a game let me know as I'm keen to give it a try.

I got this game a few days ago - I played the Beta when it was released and fell in love with the multiplayer.

The level system is good to gauge what kind of skills to expect from your opponent. The only issue I'm having so far is that there's hardly anyone online to have a match with :(

So I finally picked up RUSE in the Steam sales of late...

Anyone looking for a game? Alas I'm on an el-low-settings PC at the moment : ( Singleplayer has so far (three missions) annoyed the **** out of me. They have such a brilliant game engine, then waste the potential by thinking they need to make up characters scenarios and stories to make World War 2 interesting, as well as keeping the same relatively shallow tactical values for singleplayer.

"Oh no, our six platoons of infantry are under attack by two Panzer III tanks! Lord save us!"

It seems Major Dumbass and Colonel Idort haven't heard of the recoiless rifle.

(Don't get me wrong, from what I played in beta the whole "rock scissor paper ambush" thing worked great, but they could have fleshed it out for some more realism in the singleplayer setting...)

Anyone still playing? I only just got my rig upgraded, and of course the multiplayer of RUSE is deserted bar the lvl99-use-every-broken-tactic-non-fun players.

I'm in the GoN Steam group if anyone wants a game some evening...
