Competitive LoL actually takes a lot more skill than you'd think. A lot of the strategy involves organizing teamfights, and trying to pick off stragglers, as well as team makeup (Just like a WoW arena team, you need DPS, a tank, and a support champion) and playstyle (do you start out defensively and try to wear them down, or do something drastic like purchase elixirs at the start to try and rush them).

Wheras HoN has a lot of micromanagement and focus on individual champions that LoL does not have (such as denying), LoL focuses a lot more on teamwork and macromanagement.

I assume you've never played a ranked LoL game with an arranged team? If you have, I'm sorry for being presumptuous, but if not, please try not to knock something that you have never done, nor most likely never will.

I have played ranked LoL and I find it the same as normal pubs, only with more ***holes.

both are great games, I enjoy both. HoN has a far higher skill-cap, in that, someone skilled at HoN could go into LoL and own face, but someone skilled in LoL couldn't necessarily do the same in HoN because there are more things to do that he wouldn't have done in LoL (deny etc). just because a game is hard doesn't automatically make it good though. i do very much wish LoL had better graphics...

I just started playing this and so far dont have the balls to play against people... from what i've seen on the site, theres so much more depth and complicated ways to play than how you do against bots...

but i love this game so much :D

Twisted fate ftw.

If anyone that is over 18 and would like to try for the world cyber games league of legends top teams e-mail nitrosoldier@hotmail.com to maybe become a team member of a top LoL player to show to the world us Australian's are competitive enough to be in the World Cyber Games League of Legends Comp.

no qq from hon fanatics as the company lost the battle to be a in the WGC.

Funny that because HoN already has dozens of competitions up and running, not to mention HoN was a very big focus of Dreamhack (One of the worlds largest digital events) last month. Where was LoL then? And sk00tz said it.

If I want to go back to SNES graphics and gameplay, I'll download LoL.

/thread

Last month? Dreamhack runs from the 18th - 21st of June
http://www.dreamhack.se/DHS11/event-information/
... or did you come back from the future?

Oh wait that can't be right either since LoL will be at Dreamhack, it's where Season 1 ends. Perhaps you were confused and meant HoN's Dreamhack qualifiers? : /
Either way false info is hardly a /thread.
So much hate between the players of HoN and Lol, suppose it's only to be expected considering the dota community heritage.

Are you that retarded? The thread was necro'd. I posted that back in July 2010.

You just made yourself look stupid, but then again you do only have two posts, so I don't think you have grasped how a forum works, have you?

lol. LoL @ DHS2011 was a joke, the competitive scene is based upon the thousands of people that play the free and casual game. The game doesn't even have a pause feature, a team ended up losing at the finals because of it. LoL is a joke for a competitive game.
