LoL is a great game. I find it hard to go back to HoN after playing it these days.

They wouldnt include HoN in the wcg because DoTA is already there and they are the same game. DoTA and HoN are 1 in the same pretty much so including them both would just be a waste of time. Where as LoL brings something a bit different, even though the basic idea is there it looks, plays and feels very different to HoN and will bring in a new player base.

League of Legends is free, but HoN isn't.

does GON host LoL? I looked it up and there's some files but no 'season 1' whatever that is

League of Legends has a lightweight download client which then uses a built in torrent system to download the rest of the files.

I redownloaded it for Season 1, the download was 767MB + Approx 90MB of patches.

Hon would have to replace dota to be considered which is a huge ask because dota still has a huge competitive following. I tried playing LoL, honestly I did, but it just seems so slow and I'm really turned off by the RPG system and graphics.

Funny that because HoN already has dozens of competitions up and running, not to mention HoN was a very big focus of Dreamhack (One of the worlds largest digital events) last month. Where was LoL then? And sk00tz said it.

If I want to go back to SNES graphics and gameplay, I'll download LoL.

League of Legends is easier to pick up, from what I have played of HoN (not very much) it is a much more complex game and it takes a lot longer to understand all the mechanics and all the characters as to me they all tended to look the same.

In terms of technical features, HoN has more, but Riot have stated that they are working on more features for LoL, which include replay support, in game voice, and a bunch of other stuff.

I'm personally a bit annoyed that they don't have replay support (the game has been live for over a year) but they'll get around to adding it eventually, I hope.

really getting into the game these days my pick for character is Tristana

I hope they put some more work into the new maps and game modes that have been hinted at (like in the practice game section), new characters are cool but the number of characters there already is ridiculous, surely they could take some of the resources from character making into map making,

replay support would be cool, there's been a couple of nice moments i'd like to have kept like this morning we were in the enemy base, I started fighting a Tristana, I was winning so she started running away, I just killed her before she got away and a microsecond later we won the game, like literally a microsecond lols,

not sure how I feel about VOIP, it's invaluable (skype) when i've been playing with my friend but i'm not sure how i'd feel about verbal abuse, text I can ignore easily but verbal not so much, and if there's a mute option that'd probably just cause more abuse as I don't hear them going 'they're over here' etc only for me to not respond, though thankfully i've only come across 2 games where there have been abusive people

wish the min system specs weren't so high, my brother will be using the main computer so i'll be stuck with either the 7800gtx or 6600gt computer's rather than the gtx260 meaning no more LoL for the moment T_T
