Out of curiosity, how many League of Legends players are there in the GON community?

I don't think there's much point in creating a sub-forum, as it seems most MOBA players will go to their game's respective subreddit for news/discussion.

However the LoL thread over on Whirlpool gets a lot of posts from Aussies, so I'm interested to find out how many GONers play.

iiNet hosts a video series called League of Studio, made by a Platinum ELO LoL player who also casts for MLG, where he analyses replays from a variety of different topics. Everything from specific champions, team compositions, OP gimmicks and the pro tournament scene.

He's pretty much the Day[9] for League of Legends, so it's worth checking out if you want to improve your game.

I think I have just a smidge under 300 wins. It's the only game that gets me close to the intensity/rage factor I used to build up from competitive CSS. I'll be getting back into this a bit more soon so if anyone is keen on getting semi serious about it, hit me up

Good news, everyone!

I have been playing LoL on the Garena client with a couple of mates because we've been getting pings of 70-80 instead of the usual 180-220 for NA. I think the Garena servers are hosted in Singapore, so your ping will depend which ISP you're with and which state you're in. iiNet from WA gets 70-80 ping, and it's exactly as amazing as it sounds.

They also hand out rewards as your Summoner levels up. At level 2 I got a free 1-day XP boost and chose Ashe as my free hero.

The one downside is the queue times can be a little on the long side, anywhere from 1-5 minutes to sometimes longer. However, I'm also starting from level 1 so I'm hoping that will get better as I get higher. Also the players are generally rubbish, but I can't say this is a big change from the NA server.

The perth to singapore pipe is down at the moment, so there's not much difference between it and NA until the 2nd of November.

Well that sucks. I actually didn't play yesterday, but one of my mates did who said his ping was suddenly rubbish. I guess that explains why.
