On a side note... weak naming policy. Apparently "idiot" is considered an unacceptable name, so i had to deliberately mis spell my name, booo.

EDIT: Lol, the first non-red head

At the same time I have the foundations to go into a few different decks that allow me to do 4 roles, heal, tank and both m and r dps. Being able to do this is a huge plus for me as I usually feel the need to role an alt to try out different things well before end game. Now I feel that my 1 main character is just stronger because of this.

This is my skill wheel right now.

I started out with shotgun because I was tired of kiting with pistols in the beta. Worked well, but then I wanted to switch to healer, so took up rifle. But kept shotgun going because I like to solo a lot, and it's a good solo weapon. Then I picked up the entire fists tree you see there for a single healing passive skill, and then went into pistols to use as my secondary heal weapon. Next I'm going all the way into chaos for one skill I need.

It's good because my character is both really strong solo and a really good healer. In most MMOs those two are kindof exclusive, with maybe the healer taking ages to kill anything solo. Felicia can load up damage skills and rip through things.

Needed a new outfit for Egypt, so spent $10 on the Industrial Revolution outfit. >_> That's half of it.

A boss.

The Templar soldier outfit (on another redhead). Looks good imo.

I've just finished the main story line with 113hrs played the only thing I skipped is dungeons, I'm useless at finding groups so I find it easier to just wait till endgame then mope around till I find a guild or something.

Image
I started out rifle+fist but couldn't quite get it to work for me so switched to elemental, now I'm picking up the passives I want access to and the purge/interrupts required for nightmare modes if I ever do them. I filled out the Fixer and Mercenary decks just for fun but they really aren't very efficient.

I always find it weird how different people progress I feel like I could of easily gone faster and still not skipped anything whilst others take a lot longer and feel they're rushing. The good thing is this game can accommodate both types of players easily.

Edit: Oh yeah one thing that is disappointing the faction uniforms are almost identical as you go up ranks, the Illuminati one kinda blows, if you could remove gas mask maybe it would work.

Well, I really like playing dungeons, and that's where a lot of my time has gone.

Right now you still get groups where everyone's still figuring out the strats, rather than being told exactly where to stand etc. That's pretty fun.

Yeah I enjoy dungeons I'm just terrible at finding groups, when I do find one its always 'that' group with the players who have no idea, I think I inspire incompetence in those around me sometimes :(
Also I'm great at dps, a decent tank but woeful at healing and given the weapons I've chosen are either dps or healing it doesn't leave a lot of choice in which style to play. Dps are a dime a dozen.

My leveling strategy, which has worked well, has been spec first as a healer, then use the experience points from all the dungeons you get invited to to buy DPS skills. Currently at the start of Egypt have all of pistols, rifles, and shotguns at QL 10, so can use any ranged weapon well. :)

Having more options is good for loot whoring too. I'll start by doing dungeons in my AR/pistol heal setup. Once I get the pistols from the dungeon, I'll switch to using the shotgun, so I can need shotgun loot. ;)

Even though it's early days for me so far I have found the sheer amount of possible combinations a bit overwhelming. I've found myself staring at he skill wheel for hours thinking of possible builds, but am then held back by the fact hat I don't want to commit too much early on.

At the moment I'm mainly just a pure dps pistol build with some elemental thrown in for passives. I have started unlocking some ar/swords just because they look fun.

I guess, even though I don't know exactly where I'm heading yet, I take some comfort in knowing I can't really gimp my toon and can eventually unlock everything.

Yup healers are definitely a precious commodity, in hind sight I probably should of developed a tanking weapon to increase my chances of finding groups but I did no research before picking TSW up so by the time I realised which weapons were needed I would of had to backtrack a lot to redevelop them.

Oh Village Idiot, don't worry I didn't really have any idea how things worked till the Blue Mountains then I started to get enough ability points to see some synergies come together. Something to keep in mind is you can use passives from weapons you don't have equipped and still get the benefit.

Edit: Oh assuming cross faction mail is allowed if you guys want a few Q10 weapons and talismans let me know, they would only be green quality but still pretty decent for leveling.

First deck outfit. :)

That was a couple hundred AP points sidetrack for the sake of looks... now to finish off my healing build and pick up a tanking build.

I think I'll have to bite the bullet and put together a healing deck at the least. One thing I'm having trouble with is getting groups for elites, since I'm just starting them everyone wants people with really high AR's.

Here's the Fixer and Mercenary for Illuminati, a complete waste of time ability wise but fun none the less.

Your best bet is to join a cabal if you consistently want to get in groups. PUGs have always been kinda random in any MMO.
