Guild Wars 2- Can we get the beta files on the GON servers?

Unfortunately for us heavily data budgeted people the 10GB GW2 download is gonna hurt. It would be amazing if some kind individual could zip the game files and get them up on the games on net file server, thus letting Internode customers download them unmetered.

If someone could do this i would be eternally grateful.

Hello Vekta,

If you can find a link to the download, and assuming there are no legal reasons why it cannot be hosted on Games On Net, then I suggest you click on 'Files' at the top of the forums and then 'Suggest a file'.

GON love hosting stuff that their customers use, so again as long as there are no reasons as to why it cannot be hosted they may just take your suggestion on board.

Remember to click on the link and 'suggest a file'.

Do you accept Rapidshare links? I'm able to upload it, but as far as I'm aware Rapidshare is the only place available to me to upload a 10gb file

The main issue is if the developers don't want it hosted anywhere but their servers, which is usually the case with MMO downloads.

Yep, that is normally the case (and sorry I missed that this was actually an MMO). Rapidshare will not do as it has not generally been developer approved. Normally the links that will do are straight on the developers site, or they will mention external hosting of the files.

By all means, still submit a request without links and I am sure someone will check if it can be hosted. However if the developer is not allowing external hosting, then I wouldn't hold high hopes.

I'd just like to say that the offical GW2 Beta client used Internode servers to download the files, and it was unmetered!
