Played a bit this weekend. Created a hunter on TrendyNet(Or what ever its called). Clicked "Quick Match" and go dropped in with 3 lvl 70s on the crystal mines map on insane difficulty

1st mob that died I went up 3 levels! Ended up at level 17 at the end of the map, good times.

I played a couple of games on the trendy net thing... first game I played as an apprentice... Got paired with another one... Then played my second game as a squire and got paired with 2 of them.

Seemed really weird...

I keep getting dumped in with 2-3 70s doing hard/insane levels. So I've made a pure dps hunter and make a game of trying to kill everything at one door/spawn before any of their towers/auras hit it :)

Huntress does pretty good DPS.

I'd recommend maxing out the trap detonation count and trap damage first. You seem to get enough of the other skills from items to tide you over to begin with.

A dynamite trap that explodes every 3 seconds doing 4.5k damage in a big radius that only needs to be repaired/refilled once a minute is pretty good.

A stack of dynamite/gas/inferno holds a chokepoint surprisingly well. Similarly, dynamite + monk's ensnare aura works a treat, it bunches them all up to get more value out of each detonation.

I've gone pure hero damage and piercing shot. At level 32 it's hitting for 2.3k already. Could hold my own on 1-2 spawns on medium on the last stage last night.

Gotta say, Im impressed with what they are doing with the latest update. In this day and age where the only content is more DLC than anything after the game, modding might end up a slowly dying art. Well done to the devs on this:
Additionally, the Dungeon Defenders Development Kit has been released. This is one of the most robust modding toolsets ever, allowing players to create their own mods and total conversions, as well as seamlessly matchmaking and transfering through Dungeon Defenders' built-in online matchmaking. This kit contains full access to all of Dungeon Defenders' source code and art assets, including source for the new "First Person Defenders" mod which allows players to experience the entire game as a FPS and the new, 16-player Capture The Flag Pre-Alpha, which will allow modders to get a head-start on creating exciting large-scale multiplayer modes for Dungeon Defenders!

Has anyone else had trouble with local mode not saving data correctly?
Like losing some play time which you finished a level?

And the game also doesn't allow survival mode?

I stopped playing local mode once I realised ranked was so much better, it offers a lot more.

The latest DLC adds opposite genders of all the classes with some slightly different skills and stats.

Countess is brilliant. Jousting ogres off the edge of maps! I'm sure it'll be nerfed soon.
