i cant wait for skyrims sandbox open world and the linear story it will give along the way..
all the banter about quests not having options is meaningless coz eitherway. if u think its not going to be what u want and you buy it anyway, lol at u...
i dont care if i have options on how to complete the quest. having too many options diverts you from the story they are trying to tell and makes room for too many inconsistencies.
having more options on how to go about a quest doesnt make the game any better or effect much in the end of the game coz there are always a set amount of ways to complete games. ive never played a rpg where everytime ive played it, the end was something ive never experienced. and if there was im sure it told a bad story.
at the end of deus ex u had options but i didnt care, i was like, oh so after all that i just make up wat the end is. ah i can do that in my mind.
fallout new vegas gave the impression of having options but it just led u down different paths that u couldnt change or divert far from once u were on them.
i dont consider that "non-linear"
at the end there was only about 3 ways to complete and play the game
unless u just free play and use your imagination(the best way to play)
deus ex looks like it has options but it doesnt really, u either kill ppl or u sneak around em. they give u the illusion u can knock them out but in the end its the same as killing them the whole non lethal thing was bit of a joke imo.

the end effect was the same they were lying on the ground wen i walked passed them, or i just used a tunnel and walked around em.
sure u had options but it still had no impact on the outcome of the game, so i didnt see it as making the game any better..
but hey i know what im getting when i buy this game

>hours of fun living in a vast world i currently havent experienced.
in my opinion the worst thing about these games is they end.
i prefer to just play until i dont want to anymore.
