I'm still loving me some Tribes, playing a few nights a week. Perfect time to get into it if you haven't already, also grab the starter pack while it's only 10 clams.

I think it's awesome fun, a good change of pace compared to other shooters on PC at the moment.

As for the cash shop, there is nothing you can't get just by playing the game normally, all you get by paying is a head start on the unlocks really. I do recommend the $10 starter pack though, you get a permanent +50% exp boost to your account after your first purchase. Plus the extra weapons, perks and classes are nice to start off with. Try the game out first obviously, but it's definitely worth the $10 if you're enjoying it.

so i played all night...it's awesome, the controls are really smooth and skiing is so much fun. I haven't had this much fun in ages

Yup, this game is good, definitely worth checking out! the UT3 engine still looks great!
