I can't wait to get this game.
Sucks to hear GON, fails to provide again (referring to DayZ) on new and very popular game.

There is currently only three good Australian servers, all full 18/18 every night. There is one other server that runs horribly and no one joins. They are planning on releasing to steam in a month or two so player numbers about to grow even more.

Is there still plans for node servers?

They are not showing up in my server list in game? I do remember them being there a while ago but just assumed they were taken down until performance could be improved. Which it has been greatly in last few builds. With even more coming with a patch this week.

I was unable to join the servers directly. Can someone else give it a try?

Also is anyone able to see them in their server list in game?

The servers defiantly do not show up on the server lists, and I have been told they are terrible to play on if they were working.

Also if you look on http://hypernovadesign.co.uk/nanogrid/ you will see down the very bottom 2 of the servers both running old builds of the game.

I also tried direct connect. All three failed.

I know they didn't run to well when I last tried them, but that was 2 or more builds ago. The last few builds have been massive performance boosters, with another due this week. So hopefully we can get a revival of the GON servers going.

I've confirmed that they are unavailable, even though the servers are up. I'll raise this as an issue today so we can sort it out. Thanks for your help :)

Back up :)

Sweet, thats awesome news. Can't wait to see them running. Give us Aussie NS2 players more selection than 2-3 18/18 servers :)

Hey guys. Just wondering if you could have a look at http://ns2stats.org

This website is dedicated to collecting stats for Natural Selection 2.
FYI It is in BETA, and the website is under heavy construction, and in no way close to completion.

Though they have there stat collecting mod in beta now and available to the public.
Was wondering if GON, would be interested in attaching the stats mod to your servers?

Tried playing this the other day and was getting constant lag spikes, often when enemies would enter my immediate area, but even when nothing intensive seemed to be going on.

I couldn't find anything in my video settings that would cause it, and I even lowered everything as much as possible.
Anyone else had any problems? Any helps or tweaks available to fix this?

Was this one just one server, or multiple?
I've not had many problems with lag spikes, but i have heard this can depend on the server quality. (Caused by bad coding, that should be fixed by release.)

Has been some time since I played but from memory there are these two console commands to check stats:

r_stats
net_stats

Much like net_graph for HL games. Can see fps/choke/loss etc. Have not had much time to play around but maybe see if you can find anything off those.

Also they may not be true "lag spikes." They are in the process of optimizing the game, as it is currently very cpu intensive. Changing graphics settings doesn't make much difference, as again it is CPU intensive atm. But it is getting much better with each new build they release, try playing it 2 months ago and you would realise how much better it is now.

The next build which has been delayed till next week apparently has a lot of performance improvements.

It is a real beta, they're still fixing it up.
