Anyone bought the game through steam?

Unread postby DeadlyVirus » 29 Nov 11, 3:10 pm

I bought my copy of bc2 from steam, but since about a week ago, I haven't been able to play it as my Anti virus flagged it with something, and classed it as a low priority item, I re-installed both steam and bc2 and it doesn't flag it as malware or whatever now. But everytime I try to launch the game it comes up saying
"This game is currently unavailible. Please try again later."

Does anyone have any fixes for this one?

That seems almost like a firewall may be blocking it, either on your pc or a router related firewall perhaps?

I've got it on Steam, picked it up in the summer sales for $5.
What's your OS? I've got no problems, running XP SP3.
Antivirus? Tried updating virus definitions?

I bought Eset yesterday, and it doesn't flag it as malware or any virus, and thats after a re-install of both steam and bc2. But I still get a little wondow poping up saying what I already wrote in the the first.

Its ****, I've submitted a support ticket to steam, who knows when that will be answered though, might be lucky to get some sort of response before christmas/new year.

Try deleting clientregistry.blob. That tends to solve issues like what you're experiencing.
