Just rediscovered BFBC2 after about 6 months

Unread postby The_Pharoah » 14 Dec 10, 8:18 am

it was nice to achieve everything but then I got bored....and decided to reinstall my BFBC2 again - WOW....I'd have to say that this is THE BEST game of 2010. Its what BF2 should have been ('cept for the MG + medic kit maybe). I'm certainly enjoying the new maps, esp the open plains one (can't remember the name).

We still have the problem of there being 15 snipers on each side in a 32 player server but what can you do eh? However this has spurred me onto my newest fad at the moment....sniper hunting!! I usually like to sit in a tank and take the MG (with the 2x scope) and 'sniff out' the snipers hiding on the ridges. so much fun.

bring on Vietnam!!

Wow. Exactly what I'm doing. Playing BC2 again! Pretty fun game... A lot more fun than Black Ops sometimes too :|

yeah I didn't bother with black ops. I got put off the MP version of MW2. maybe in 6 months I'll pick it up off Steam for a fraction of the price! :P

I agree. BC2 is excellent indeed! The recent update with the new maps has been a breath of fresh air and new life into the game (Not that I was over it or anything anyways).

i actually only NOW realised that we actually had tracer darts!! I used to wonder what the red blinkers were for (plus the missed tracer dart shots that would leave a trail back to the shooter)....now I get it. :)

I find that I only like to play on HC servers. When I hit someone with the M95, I expect them to die (just as I would expect the same).

You can't compare BF2 to BC2. It's like comparing World at War to Black Ops...

Also I'm not sure what server you play on but normally there's an even balance of kits, unless you're playing Rush then you can expect more Engineers and Assault. If you're playing Hardcore expect more Snipers. If you're playing on Heavy Metal expect most your team to be either Engineers or Snipers, I don't see any of these as a problem though.

Haven't uninstalled it, and have left Steam updating it when it wants. I am actually looking forward to the Vietnam expansion. I have revisited BFBC2 a few times over the past month, still fun for the most part.

The new maps are EXACTLY what BC2 needed and should've shipped with. We've been playing the last week or so and it's been an epic hoot. Felt like the good old days, bailing out of a blackhawk to sit on top of a 300 foot tall windmill only to become the target of several bush-ridden wookies... and lobbed tank shells. Good times, good times indeed.

On BFBC2 Vietnam, not sure if this has been posted before:

Yeah that only worked for me once, I got on there, no one seen me do it, I got a heap of kills. I did however get on the wrong one for the situation, I was on the windmill closest to B but the blades where making it hard to shoot people lol. Any other time I try now I have half the other team raining down on me.

If I could find my BC2 screenshot folder (I don't seem to have one :|) I could post up a +357 (I think it was) Marksman shot. :D
