Yes I would imagine so, but I would hope that Internode is trustworthy enough to handle the responsibility... Or at least I would hope so, that one of the big Aus ISPs could do it if any. Of cause i'm talking about both sides (S2 letting Internode have the software, and Internode not leaking it)

Certainly understand that the cost of the servers here is phenominal. While the game is in open beta, they could test the pricing of the servers short term, and also test how many new people join with Aussie servers to see if it is worthwhile doing it long term, if they wait until you have to pay for the game, many gamers will have already found alternative games to play.

Yes it is a cheap game which is fantastic, but Aussie servers means people who play HoN recognising the ISP that is providing that server and likely transition to that ISP. When word gets around that you can play a DotA-like game on Aussie servers people will flood to it, what other good RTS/RPG games are out there that have Aussie servers? We have a market of adult gamers that many have full time incomes and nothing to spend the income on. This sort of game is something that adult gamers do enjoy and will spend money on.

Blizzard is not putting anything into Aussie servers and that has already cut into aussie gamers playing WoW and also Diablo 3 when it arrives.

HoN still has a multitude of potential for new maps, characters and gameplay options. Any company that takes on this sort of project has an amazing opportunity to guide a whole market of people.

The advertising potential is also awesome, I don't know how many people ask me which provider I am with while I fix their computers. I would be happy to change to another similar game with Aussie servers.

I actually think now that aussie dedicated servers are going to be a semi-bad thing, lately it's hard enough to get a game on the jap servers and they sure as hell wont play on ours over their own. Average players of an evening has gone up by about 4-5k over the last week but they don't seem to be oceanic.

I play USW because i want my teammates to speak english :l. I can't wait for AUS servers, there will be plenty online during peak hours to fill the games up, otherwise i probably won't mind still playing on USW.

It will be a treat to play with 50ms

I was hoping the aussie community would be more chillax than the american one but the first game i joined we had a bad start and the "you **** suck you noobs, i'm elite, go die" etc was just as quick to be thrown out....

THUMBS DOWN AUSTRALIA :icon13: .... 1500-1600 psr games aren't meant to be an ego fest :(
