just wondering if anyone here wears mutli-focal (or, Progressive) lens glasses, and what are they like? are they a pain in the arse? do you actually get used to using them??
My prescription has now been changed from single whatevers to multi, for both distance and up close.. I made it clear to the guy i'm at the computer A LOT, and apparently this is the better choice. (I don't have them yet. probably sometime this week.) $245.. ugh. using my current frames, just to make it NOT $350...
I'm worried that when I walk it'll be a big unco mess. I tend to look down when I walk.
In other news.. I have always been "at high risk" of Glaucoma, and now with my checkup yesterday, so far all signs are pointing to "Yes, you have Glaucoma, take these drugs." - I have to get re-tested again in a couple of weeks (high pressures again, the thickness of the optic nerve, and chunks of vision missing from my field of view, and the pain I've been getting lately in my left eye.)
So, if you've not been tested in a while, or ever... make sure your next optometry check up at least checks the pressures. Very important stuff.
