Adelaide nutritionists / dieticians

Unread postby Swedish_Chef » 5 Jun 12, 12:59 pm

So I have decided to improve my lifestyle, lose a little weight and get toned again.

I have the exercise part covered as I am joining my wifes gym.

The second part of my plan is to start eating more "smartly". I dont eat junk food and the bad stuff, however I still need to work out how I can improve on what I am eating now and also work out serving sizes.

Has anyone had experiences with a nutritionist / dietician? Are they worth it? Can people recommend any in adelaide?

I saw a lass out west for awhile who seemed to know her stuff pretty well. Tanya Burton. Was good when I was seeing her, but stopped and still kinda regret it. She was pregnant so took off a few months, not sure if she has come back or not.

to be honest, i dont really see the need for a dietician unless you have very specific needs. start with the basics - cut soft drink, saturated fat, cut your sugar. drink lots of water. fruit, vegetables, make sure you get a good mix of the food groups. i think you will be surprised how quickly weight will come off if you eat right and exercise

I mean it might be a good way to trick yourself into committing to something because you're paying for it, but realistically its completely unnecessary.

Eat clean, work hard and you'll get where you want to go.
