I had one today. Fairly average imo. Much like most fast food.

I just know that as soon as I finish eating one, my body is going react badly and I'll just get the runs. My body seems to reject junk food now that I'm eating healthy :(

I had the original recipe - my colleague had the zinger - we had an interested audience when we returned to the office...

Mine was quite small - each fillet was only about 8 x 10cm (I could have covered it completely with one hand) - tasted pretty good

Colleague's Zingers were about 10 x 12 cm - looked about the size the ads make them look - he said it tasted pretty good

Neither of us will bother buying them again... we already have a great burgers/fish/chips alternative nearby* and there's a new Grill'd (burger place) opening up - claiming healthy, tasty burgers - so we'll be giving that try.

*there are also plenty of less great alternatives as well - two McDs, HJ, Oporto, Red Rooster - and plenty of non franchise places.

Doubledown is a storm in a tea cup. It is basically the same as eating 2-3 pieces of normal KFC and a slice of cheese and bacon.

Now if we had a heart attack grill over here, then the media would have something to complain about, but at the moment this is just a beat up media story.

Which is woefully unhealthy as it is.

Had one for lunch yesterday, in Zinger form. Was pretty good, if not a bit small and sticky.

Interesting fact: a Red Rooster Roll has more calories than one of those. I think there are plenty of options on the KFC menu that are worse than these. It's all publicity!
