Have manual's and an auto..
tbh now unless Im going offroad, to a track day, club cruze or on a really nice bit of road I'd take the auto by choice. I do enjoy driving just to be driving but then with wife and daughter in the car, lots of bad drivers arround here that cant maintain speed, take corners, obey road rules etc.
I find I get frustrated less with other drivers if its just having to randomly brake for their stupidity rather than brake, down change to 3rd in a 100 zone, putter along at between 40 and 80 until you get to a spot where you can overtake the 6 people behind them who wont overtake for some reason
Auto is a bit of a boat but its nice and soft ride, comfy seats, upgraded twin piston brakes, stiffer anti sway bar, cai/exhaust and I know when Im going to overtake to stick the boot into it 2sec before I would in a manual for it to rev, kick down and then bite.
Only problem I have is coke can clearance while great in brisbane.. is a complete pain down here, theres a few streets you cant get into in a stock lancer without doing an S bend over to the wrong side of the road and taking the intersection at 45degrees Took one for a test last year and smacked the front end into the road pulling out of the car lot. Got no chance in hell in my car

Need to trade in for a something like a auto diesel 4 door f250 with full length tray.. couple of lenghts of railroad track welded together for bumper bars and a rock crawler gear on low 4 to push cars into parking spots, a few HID driving lights and some halogen 100w pencil beems in front and rear as "fog" lights... Mmmm I would get in so much trouble if I owned that
