Build Threads

What build threads/car blogs do you all read?

Blogs

http://www.roadsterdrift.com/home/
http://speedhunters.com/
http://www.7tune.com/
http://maydaygarage.com/
http://noriyaro.com/
http://www.stanceworks.com/
http://www.drifted.com/

Builds
http://engineeredtoslide.com/

And then there is the absolute mother of all builds.
My Supra: Restored and Built from the Ground Up.

To give you an idea of the build, they guy reserved the first 50 posts after his first post, and has an index of posts to help you navigte. He has replaced EVERY SINGLE part of the car. It blows your mind.

Wow, thats a nice supra. I wouldn't call it a restoration but great car none the less.

I had started building a S13, but recently had to sell it due to Uni. :(

Supra was more of a 7 year update :) Still very nice, and I wouldn't say no to it being on my driveway. I just wonder how much he sunk into his pride and joy.

He'd say he spent just as much as he wanted probably. Realistically i wouldn't even want to think about it haha.

It would pain me to know the exact figure.

Gets me wet dreaming about all the cars I could build ground up if I had an unlimited budget though.

I am guessing it would have been the better part of a house. about $100-150k for part, labour, transport, paperwork

You can build cars like that on a budget, but looking at his thread it doesn't seem like he spared any expense.

It has got me motiviated to blog my next car build

perthstreetbikes.com modification/members projects has some nice bikes.

bikes are a bit cheaper so methinks when i finally can do a project my first will be a bike of some sort. most likely naked'ing something that otherwise doesn't come nude

Jesus it doesn't seem like that guy was worried about paying bills/HECS or anything, just buys whatever he takes a fancy to and pays to get it installed

edit: what was he studying at uni? drug dealing?

boostcruising.com

For cruises and buying parts off people/sponsors.

Some of the people astound me at their stupidity but with 200k+ members it's so good for finding 2nd hand parts/new parts on special.
