It has been a while. I went off gaming for a while, stopped dropping by! A couple things have changed since my last visit. The wheels would be the most obvious.

Thought I would share my dash cluster. I installed a boost gauge a couple weeks ago. 8-12psi for most heavy acceleration, ~15 if I thrash it.

I hate you TSG.

Seriously.

Every time I see your posts (here or MCM) it makes me cry as I was going to get a B4 and went for the project car instead... which has cost me an arm and a leg and STILL isn't done 8 months later.

From what he wrote on another forum, his 'gap of death' between the turbos is minimal. Most people go for a simple tune to fix it.

Haha, thanks Artful-dodgeR.

What he said, it gets on boost early due to the sequential twin system. You just feel a very momentary 'loss of power / odd sensation' as the secondary is enabled, the motor is also known for pinging - an ECU tune can help improve these issues. A mate of mine has a WRX, we paid about the same for them, but they are totally different cars to drive.

What are you referring to? The peak boost levels I mentioned? Just regular heavy acceleration, the Auto changes before it peaks. When the car is fully opened up, that is when you hit ~15. Boost cut is 18psi on a B4. The Subaru guys reckon it's normal operation anyway.

get rid of the sequential twin system, there so horrible on every car i've ever seen with anything like that:P

drifting in 35+ degree's heat, car down on power by heaps and still managed to get the most smoke out of it I've seen :D

engine is coming out soon to fix inlet manifold leak, rear main seal then it goes back in and i put my power FC on + S15 T28BB turbo and tune

hope to make around 180kw and it should feel 1000x better then the 140-150kw its making now, i would even be happy with it just making more down low power as it has no guts below 4000prm atm

I was at tailem for stadium, and saw you! Didnt realise it was you though haha, and yeah the heat was a killer for a lot of the cars, but that black ceffy had no trouble smoking it up the entire course, that thing was nuts!

both my brother (blue s13 silvia in that video) and i entered pro class

only got 3 practice laps, wasn't used to extra grip and down and i bent a rear toe arm on the last one so going into 1st 2 battle's was still getting used to the car and spun following a R32, he slowed down heaps so i had a hard time trying to stay sideways and spun

last 2 battle's i did really good, got fairly close to both cars and felt good when i was leading, managed to pull a decent cap but didn't make it into top 8 :x sucks i left my in car camera in the tow car for these battle's

i'll post some in car from my brothers car at the end of the day soon

If it was manual I would probably consider it, but its a 'compromise' until I can afford the model I want, which I intend to go nuts on! But honestly its a really nice car. I'll probably have it for a while yet. Someone will get a clean B4 when I sell it :) going on another cruise next weekend with the SubyClub guys.

Nice drifting! True about turbo's losing a few ponies in the heat.
