Aww I've finished it

Finally finished Fallout: New Vegas

It didn't crash as often as Fallout 3, had alot more side quests, it just felt short. A few quests were buggy and I couldn't complete, no matter what why I tried, namely the NCR ones. Alot of winks and nods to other Fallout games, if you noticed them, and some different voice acting again.

The question is, can you really replay this when I've managed to get the explorer perk, visit all the towns and do nearly all of the quests?

Yeah I just finished it this morning...but I haven't finished a fair number of quests, cleared out some locations (i.e. Caesar's camp, Vault 3) nor visited all locations.

Personally I don't like getting the explorer perk, I prefer to try and find all the locations myself (even if it means printing off a map) and it makes the game last longer.

I can't recall if it seemed shorter or longer than Fallout 3. But I did feel I got my money's worth, now I'll try playing around with some mods as well.

The game is technically bigger than FO3. It has about 100 more locations or something.

I never fast travel though, which makes it feel huge.

There are locations that are NOT marked on the map as well.

I found a spot with about 20 Deathclaws clustered together today. 2 mothers and an Alpha male included. Its not map marked.

Yes there is plenty of quests that open up places not given by explorer perk.

How I ended it

I managed to kick both NCR and Legion out of New Vegas with the aid of the robots I nicked by killing Mister House.

I've actually finished it twice now, though the first time while I completed most missions, there may have been 1 or 2 that I missed. The 2nd time I have pretty much visited all locations and I am now on to a 3rd try (which is a little slow going) to try out a different ending and missions.

Hidden: show
The first ending I did was the Independent NV (Yes Man) and the second one was an NCR victory (which the last overall battle felt more satisfying with more to do - especially in the dam area, then the Yes Man ending) and this time I am going to do the Mr House ending.

Yeah man, what ending did you do for a starter, depending who you work for will open up a different line of quests also when doing quests you may notice they fork out a fair bit so just change the way you did it last time IE Archimedes 2 did you activate it?

Also if you change the way you set up your toon choosing different skills which will unlock different perks.

I have been through twice now and a third on the way, I haven't played it in HC mode yet so still yet to play through again, First toon was a good guy had outstanding Kama and was well liked and finished it for "Yes Man" second was pretty much opposite to that and slayed everybody even horded all the gear from the Silver Rush and BoS base before I destroyed them both and that toon finished it for Ceaser.

Also the explorer perk just shows you locations and out of at least half you visited you wouldn't of got a quest? thats because often the quest lines trigger somewhere else and you don't just get them cause you found a new location.

So for me theres still NCR and House quest lines I haven't done cause I have always worked for others while I have done a few quests for them just not all of them and then one of those to finish with as well.
