Hmm looks as though it has unlocked early (not at home, just going off the steam website). Which means I don't need to worry about VPN access tonight to be able to play it :D

I started it to get the ball rolling, though I might play it later (got a headache now) but the one thing that annoys me with these games is it defaulted straight to my 360 controller (which I use for TDU2 beta) rather then ask me if I wanted to use k/m. Have to unplug it to get the keys working. It's only a little thing but they can just ask what you want to use, especially if you have the PC version.

You can use the keyboard to navigate the menu and turn off the 360 controller, too. I had the same issue.

Also, when using the Vigor-tron thing near the start be careful when navigating the stats. The final page is a Summary page and if you hit next from there it finishes your stat assignment without any kind of prompt. :?
Fortunately the auto-save is just before you do that. :)

Engine performance seems brilliant so far. Game recommended I run on Ultra High settings and the framerate seems fine.
Will take screenshots later. Not going to play right now either, just got my dude out the door. :)

Running everything in ultra high here and man it looks nice. I'll take some screen shots in a minute and post them.

I wish I had that problem!

My 360 wireless receiver stopped working. Don't know why, didn't drop it or anything. I played FO3 and Oblivion with a controller and found it much smoother (strange huh). Guess it's all keyboard for me now.

I never bothered to check, but when I preloaded it, Sat or Sunday I think (right after when Mythor said it was ready) it screamed down at 1.9Mb/s. I wouldn't get that speed off one of the o'seas steam servers so it is either here on Nodes or on another Australia steam server (which is free data anyway with Node).

If I have as much fun as I did played Fallout 3 then I certainly won't complain.

Besides, I don't see how it's much different in terms of criticism when you compare it with games like call of duty which is rehashed stuff every release.

One thing I noticed and while it sort of loses its charm because we (Aust) had a delay on release, the date when you first start in the game is the 20th Oct (2281).
