***Upcoming links about Battlefield 2 modding/mapping to be added soon

Alrighty, so by reading this i guess you are interested in Call of Duty Mapping and or Modding. First of all make sure you have the COD: Radient which is available from internode (see http://games.on.net/filelist.php?app=2137&menu=4 for details/download).

Well i have some resources which you may find useful:

Tutorial/Support Site:

http://www.fpsbanana.com/tuts/6658
A excellent guide to preparing your pc to mapping for cod4.

http://callofduty.filefront.com/info/Tut_Map_1_Surgeon
Probably the best or one of the best text tutorials, includes screenshots for each step on how to make a map from the installation stage up until the completed map.

http://codutility.com/
Probably one of the best sites which has many tutorials, decals and other various things you can download. Also if you have a problem with your map the people on their forum are very good at helping to try fix your dilemma.

http://www.codcreators.com/ - INACTIVE URL - since 18th March 2009
Currently undergoing a site revamp, click here for details. They were previously known as infinitytutorials and had a great looking site and some good tutorials.

http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-list-17.html
I've only recently found this site myself but has some unique tutorials which are more advanced than the above sites tutorials. Most of the tutorials are quite short in length and are not really detailed so it's a good idea to have a basic understanding of how radient works first.

Video Tutorials:

http://au.youtube.com/user/WaR111
The youtube user, WaR111 probably has the best video tutorials about COD4 Mapping and Modding. He is a member of Codutility as well so you'll know his vids will be good!

That's all i have for now, i will try to update this as much as possible.

I find COD4 Mapping quite fun as it's satisfying to vs friends over LAN playing your map. I was 14 when i started (15 now) so that prooves that if someone my age can do it, anyone can! (although my maps in comparison to the ones shipped with the game are terrible, thats why i only play them with my friends :P )

Hopefully this helps and good luck Mapping!

**Note: If you would like your link added to my list post here

Thanks for these links, I've had the Radiant sitting unistalled for about a week now, and keep putting it off :S

I've had a brief stint in Quake 3 mapping, but I didn't use a Radiant editor, so this is going to be a lot more difficult to learn. I was 14 when I started working on my Q3 map as well lol  I used QuArK, and they are trying to add CoD4 support to it now, if anyone is interested. Very good mapping program, easy to use and easy to learn. http://quark.planetquake.gamespy.com/

There are also one or two tutorials on FPS Banana, like :http://www.fpsbanana.com/tuts/6658

Also your infinity tutorial must be out of date, 'cause it 404's now. They've moved their site to http://www.codcreators.com/

Anyway, good luck with the mapping!
