I just entered the game earlier and got 5 achievements with sigils as rewards. These are for that 'design your own banner' marketing campaign leading up to D3's launch in case anyone has forgotten about it. I know I did at first.

Leading up to launch, Blizzard ran raft of different promotions to market the game. One was a webpage which allowed us to create our own banner (much like we do in the game's main menu). The reward for participating in this is that you get a special sigil for each class that you create a banner of. I went through all 5 classes so have now got 5 more sigils to use.

If you haven't done it by now, I believe it's too late (I can't find the page online via Google at least).
