So apparently there is an 8 hour service downtime for the US servers we play on starting.............now.

I wouldnt bawwwwwwwwwwwww so much except the wife is out of town tonight for work and I was about to get the kids off to bed to settle in for several hours of demon **** kicking.

So I heard and yet everyone was kicked off with a 60 sec warning an hour ago and still no one can get in.

Hopefully that tweet means it wont be down for the whole 8 hours then. I've been pretty tolerant of launch issues but I would have to agree that if we are going to have WoW like maintenance every week, that would be pretty shite.

edit: message says that website and account management services will be down for 2 hours, hopefully will be back up after that.

Anyone getting 3003 errors? The website says that the American servers are avaliable but I can't get past authentication.

Edit: Sorry didn't see the above posts, then again why show that servers are avaliable when they are down for maintenance?

It seems to me from the login message that there are two concurrent forms of maintenance tonight. The normal 8 hour weekly WoW maintenance, and a 2 hour downtime for the forums and account management services. I would hazard a guess that covers the authentication servers. I guess we will see in 45 minutes time.

Any of you get the maintenance message in your client when you logged in?

Seems to be digital versions get it, retail (physical) dont.
I have a retail copy and I dont get any system messages.

Praying 2 hours is all it is.

Two hours should be up by now. It should be noted that the server status page is showing the US servers as available, so hopefully they will come back soon

I guess it must be the one set of servers for Battle.Net - the game servers are up, but without being able to authenticate sessions we wont be able to get in .
