Looks like the auction house is on the fritz again - that was the only reason I wanted to log in atm.

Jesus!

Also: it looks like we now automatically get added into the public chat channel when we start playing each time?

The only way I know of is to buy dyes from merchants. Higher difficulties give different dyes to buy than on lower difficulties, so probably was buying dyes up to sell. Just buying the expensive inferno-level dyes over and over, hoping to sell to lowbies.

Merchant stuff is a big risk though, especially to spend 6 million on them... I make a profit on merchant flipping every now and then, but the stuff sells slowly if people recognise it for what it is.

In a way I find it amusing that such a risky tactic was used and then lost out in such a huge way.

Since the maintenance my latency in Australian times has been more stable. So I'm hoping that whatever they needed a half day downtime to do it did something good.

Good for you. Just tried playing last night again, and it was probably worse than before they did the maintenance (could've just been because of other reasons, who knows!). Did about half an hour and gave up. :(

You must've missed the early rush...

inferno dyes for only 2500, sold at over 8-10K during the first week of D3 release.

gold was literally falling from the sky for us who have been strolling in inferno. We were printing gold like it was growing on a tree so long as we keep the price slightly below the average which was sky high back then.

but prior to the commodity being taken down the price was already crashing fast so the 6 million worth iirc constitutes my colleagues remnant stack.

I already cleared my stock and made all my profit by then, and my colleague already made far more than that even... that 6 million lost was nothing to him, he sold dye hardcore and made god knows how much from it, i made about 12 million profit overall including the nightmare and hell dyes which i then spent arming my barbarians and wizard plus now DH to farm inferno better.
