My main problem with the single player argument is that it's essentially "It's single player because I want to ignore all the multiplayer stuff, even content that requires a party if you don't want to get owned over and over."
Same sort of view would see MMO dungeons as single player. They only require a godmode hack to turn off multiplayer, after all.
I've found that multiplayer is hard if you dont coordinate etc.
I was playing with a DH on nightmare, we had trouble against some bosses, so we talked, and I swapped my skills around (so now we both had mines/stun), while he changed one of his skills to fear, suddenly we were unstoppable and breezed through the rest of the act in a couple of hours.
just out of curiosity, are you planning on only ever playing solo? at some point I want to try hardcore, and it would be great to have a dude to play along side it (none of my friends are game enough for it)
