Last nights shutdown was only meant to be maximum of 30 minutes.

Still playing through the starter as I have no real time to invest in the full version quite yet.

If I had known about the Starter, I may have done this too as I'm still doing assignments... though, I would have needed a full version to co-op with my bro. Does this sound like the words of someone who ended up getting the CE - lol

Well it's been longer than two days, but I'm still going to respond!

What a fun week. I was fortunate enough to be on holidays for the week and had no plans, so I could just devote myself to Diablo (Which I well did, thankfully I go back to work tomorrow, or I may well die from DVT).

The game is fantastic fun however you play, and you get given a **** load of options as to how that is. Alone, with an NPC buddy, with your own mate, with your own mates, with randoms. I love all that.

I also love being able to completely change your character in the space of 10 minutes, and nearly everything is viable. It's not like you unlock a new skill and never use the old one again, it's all still well utilised, and that's great fun..

I got stuck a few times moving through hell, but finally finished it and dinged 60 last night. Played a little inferno by myself tonight and managed to kill the skeleton king, so I wasn't too displeased with that effort.

After 55+ hours of gameplay, I'm still thoroughly enjoying it and looking forward to levelling my monk... or wizard... or barb... I don't know what to play next! (Let alone finishing this damn inferno level.)

From someone who's never played a Diablo REALLY before, I'm super impressed and loving it all.

I really need to get on in the evenings. All my morning plays have been horribly effected by lag although I can tell the underlying game is all class. Its so frustrating...

Currently a lvl 29 Witchdoctor. Really enjoying the game, and moreso playing in a co-op with my brother. The trademark Blizzard humour is back in this game which was missing in the previous two. It's more of the same point and click-fest but with enough differences to set itself apart as a sequel without losing the familiarity. I'm going to wait and see if I can be bothered slugging through a harder difficulty level, which is something I never did with the previous ones. Usually with these epic games I just can't be bothered going through the same stuff again, though the random quest generator could be the difference.

I've hit 60 as a Wizard and hit Inferno Act 1 and rerolled a monk. Inferno is just stupid. While normal mobs are fine, elite mobs are just plain ridiculous to the point where every class I've partied with dies instantly. You have to love mortar mobs with extra health and shielding who trap you at the front of the entrance, and because there isn't a "revive to town" button, you are forced to restart the game.

My opinion is this game was made poorly and dumbed down way to much. No stats, no skills to level up, and really there aren't that many combinations. I'm not to impressed with the graphics either, it doesn't feel 2012.

What irritates me is that I'm a wizard holding a 600dps 2-handed hammer which a witch doctor and barbarian can use. It really doesn't matter what the weapon is as long as it has the highest dps. Also advice to those playing, socketed blues are better then all the other items(rare and leg)

My verdict is 6/10
I'm holding my breath for Torchlight 2
Gaming Name: Blood*Angel or something like that

Wizard, with a 2h and only 600dps @ 60....no wonder you're having issues.

Rares and legendaries have sockets too...

I also disagree that there aren't many combinations. I'm running a melee-ish demon hunter right now and doing well. On hardcore nightmare right now.

there's actually a lot of combinations that are good, yellows are simply blues with more properties, easiest example is I had gloves with +70 int, more gold pick up range and a socket, got a yellow, identical properties along with +vit and + strength.

Have had fun playing it, however i went back and tried d2 and find that other then graphics d2 is better.

Diablo 3 good
Graphics are gound
sound is good
general ambience is good
New and shiny

Diablo 3 bad
server lag - grrr
wont be any 3rd party mods
no australian servers so lag wont get better, and on bad nights the game isnt much fun to play.
WoWified, if i wanted to play wow id be playing wow
unlikey to play through 20+ times

Diablo 2 Good
Mods mods mods
better control interface
no lag with single player
stable multiplayer
can up your stats as you want to so the difference between characters isnt just what item you managed to find.
more classes

Diablo2 Bad
Graphics are crappy
Old and played to death many many times.
Sounds are ok'ish

so when it comes down to it id prefer diablo2 with a hd graphics update then diablo3
but d3 will be ok the first couple of run through's while it still has the new and shiny label.

1. Buy her PC
2. Update the PC thread.
3. Get PC back

I've had limited experience..but it annoys me greatly that I can't download while playing a single player game

Other than that, it's actually pretty cool.
