I have started back up again, only playing 1 character - an amazon in hardcore ladder. Same account, (Simple-1) with the character called Simpleh.

Ditto to starting again, after not playing the game for 5+ years. I'm basically a noob again, forgotten how to play.

I got all excited after seeing some of the Diablo 3 previews! Bring it on!

My login is Fraggermuffin (I bet you couldn't have guessed) and my one and only character is Noske, a level 24 Barbarian, specialising in throwing. Any freebies welcome!

I kind of stopped after realising that the ladder was getting reset in a month or so. No point starting just to have it all disappear in a month.

As in, everything is being reset/characters wiped?

All ladder characters become non-ladder. Non-ladder means you don't have access to a significant amount of gear. So you either have to start again or play non-ladder which is boring.
