I don't know if there's a smilie to express this precise interaction here, but I'd hope it would involve rugs and the pulling-out-from-under-you thereof.

I can see stacking as being part of maintaing an e-penis, but how exactly do ragequitting and spectating contribute to electronic tumescence? FYI I used to have to leave and rejoin a lot because TF2 had a tendecy to reset all my video preferences so I'd join > see bloom and such was on > leave and change settings > rejoin.

The store came out long after release though, didn't it?

Yeah, I realised that just as I posted it. I checked and the Mann Co. Store was online from September 30th 2010. That's less than 2 years ago. I was honestly surprised about that as it felt it was much longer ago than that. It seems like I've been buying stuff forever!

So yeah $720 spent over 2 years, or $360 per year. Meh, if I wasn't spending time and money on TF2 I'd be doing the same with some other pointless hobby. But yeah, time to give the credit card a bit of a break ;)

After some digging around I found the thread where we discussed the implementation of the Mann Store. Looking back I didn't make any comments about resolving never to buy any stuff of the Mann Store, hehe.

Well another way to look at it is it is the same amount per month that I spend on my two MMO subs :)

Oh please, let's not start this again. Really.

And back to the original point and post, I agree wtih Bickety et al., if you can afford it, and you enjoy it, there really is nothing wrong. TF2 is a game that's managed to keep us on our toes, constant updates and they actually listen to the community - something that I've heard from constant male rants about other game developers, quite a good thing.
I know most can't relate, but to me, it's exactly why I have enough heels that cost enough to feed a small village, and enough to keep them ALL in footwear. It's because I love it, I can afford it, and I love the variety. Same with say, new weapons, hats and new play modes.

Just my little opinion anyway.

I'm of that same opinion. I paid a pittance for the game 5 years ago, and the game has been consistently enjoyable ever since. I've spent a whole lot less on TF2 than I would on a subscription MMO for example.
