New ninja update today added a number of "mysterious" items, such as a banana peel, pocket lint and a slightly burned secret diary.

All with descriptions emphasising the mysterious nature of the items.

There is a big update around the corner...

The pocket lint description says it was "brushed from the hull of a battleship".

That is, it's asbestos.

One of the other items is a capacitor with 6.22 on it - update on the 22nd of June?

Damaged Capacitor is a crafting ingredient that was added in the June 19, 2012 Patch. The text on it reads '6.22V1500'.

So I gather we will just have to wait until Sat (Fri US 22nd of June) for what is happening....

Looks like we have a while to wait. But people on the Steam forums are saying the new items are dropping already so I guess that means more TF2 tonight.

yeah, a lot of people are saying its leading into the pyro update, i keep seeing this description from people on tf2r.com

"Here is the best theory i heard: capacitor and lint light camp fire with barn plank. fish cooked in fire while cheese is melted on top. Then the banana is a desert. The diary is read while eating at the camp fire. This is the storyline in the pyro video upcoming."

First instinct says its another Valve ARG, the timing is too close to the massive annual Steam sale launching soon to be a concidence. Might tie in to sale achievements?

So far I've got a cheese wheel, goldfish(x2), banana peel and about 4 lints...

I've seen the barn door plank drop but not the Secret Diary or the capacitor. Any one got those last two items?
