demo guns not working

demo guns not working

hi all,

this started yesterday, demo guns don't appear to be working unless they are strange ones, melee is working though. Seems to be happening across the board on servers.

There wasn't a downloadable update but i've heard that apparently valve can ninja updates through without us having to download them.

I've also heard that on the steam forums there is talk of a big tf2 content update this weekend so maybe this demo issue is linked to it,

just looking for others thoughts.

I had to change out of demoknight gear to find the problem. Just proof that demoknights are better, in my opinion. :D
Imagine this will get fixed in short order.

there were also a bunch of beta changes in game for a while
widowmaker - 30 metal per shot instead of 60
enforcer - cloak delay increased to 1 second
tomislav - -50 health

Brilliant, I love using Widowmaker but the ammo penalty is just too harsh currently. Also Enforcer change seems decent, didn't really notice the .5 second delay.

Had this issue last night, you need to un-equip the default grenade launcher.

I added the Lock-n-load and then you can access the items again, but as soon as you re-equip then default launcher the problem happens again. I don't have a strange GL so I couldn't test if they do the same thing. If you don't have the Lock-n-load I suppose you could use the boots. (didn't try that setup either).

I equipped loch n load, didn't work, then found my strange sticky worked so equipped my strange default and it worked though i didn't check if it worked first.

Demoknights are quite fun. Takes a bit of practice but so fun once you get it down.
