Quick question guys, if I reinstall steam and download TF2 does it come from the node mirror or will it count towards my usage?

(I'm a node customer)

There's a little program called Steamwatch out there (created by a node customer) that will block Steam downloads from non-australian Steam servers (all Aussie based ones are free for 'Node customers). Navigate to Node's unmetered IP address list, and update steamwatch's allowed list with any form the unmetered list that dont appear there.

Restart steam and watch the unmetered downloads roll in :D. You can set the download region in the options Tab in Steam, but it doesnt always work...

I've been playing around with FPS configs a bit and found one I like. However, the edges of the HUD graphics are jaggered. Is there any way to make the edges smooth, like AA or something?

I have a steam account and play TF2, my sons use my pc and play on my account. I'd like to play a game with them, can I install TF2 on a second computer using my existing account and play both at the same time? Considering both sessions would be from the same IP address, will steam complain? Or will I have to set up a second steam account and buy a second copy of TF2? Am I bein cheap just asking the question?

If more than 1 login for the same accounts occurs, the 1st computer gets logged off.

What Pigfat said.

If you want to play 2 copies, you will need 2 Steam accounts, and buy a second copy of TF2. Steam won't let you log in on the same account from 2 different locations at once, it would be similar to a CD-Key collision. You can play from the same IP fine, you will just need two seperate Steam accounts (which gives you different SteamIDs, which are essentially equivalent to CD-keys, in a way).

If you have single player games, I'm pretty sure you could install that same game on the same Steam account on multiple computers successfully, provided you login them in as Offline

Well I've managed to succesfully play CS:S on LAN with a mate using my Steam account on both computers.

Steam gets angry..but basically, log in on one comp, start the game, then log in on the other computer and fire it up there. An error will appear on the first computer you logged in saying someone else has logged in, but you can ignore this and just play :)

This just started recently and I am wondering if anyone has heard of it.

I seem to be having problems with my Keyboard and mouse. Moving the mouse and pressing its buttons by itself is fine. When I am using the the keyboard as well is when I am having problems. If I am moving, clicking the mouse and aiming, the mouse will get stuck, when I release the mouse button the screen just starts spinning or looks at the sky or something. It happens more often the more keyboard buttons I am holding at the same time. Only happens in TF2 as far as I know, though I should probably check other source games.

What might be related is that it also sometimes minimizes and I am making a drag box on the desktop.

I have redownloaded TF2, also tried running it in windowed mode. I can't think of any changes that have happened on my system, perhaps a windows update. I have run virus and malware scans with no detections found. Running a g15 and Mx revolution and updated software for those after the problem started happening.

So far nothing has worked. :|

Nope, no good.

Here is a demo of what I mean, though hard to see it because you don't know what my mouse is doing.

I am trying to shoot and move my mouse horizontally. You can tell something is wrong when I can't level the aim, but it is harder to see the lag that is the start of the problem.

Turns out it is all source games.
