If people are willing to download >1G for some extra units, weapons and some *****y maps, then for less than 10% of that size can't we find something comparable that can be added to OPFOR? Lets face it something like this,

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12397

would be a useful addition to OPFOR, and be done with it.

I'm all for it because I hate using the usual BLUFOR weapons.

Well, that's a pretty solid NO. What a surprise.

There are no AKs, and there will be no ACR either because it's an optional mod....

But there is a lite for it? And i mean't guns for opfor that weren't AKs haha

How did the BAF and PMC lites work, in a patch? ACR was released after the latest patch so it might be in then next one...

ACR lite is not included in the latest/etc patch, because BIS said there's compatibility issues.

Personally I don’t see a problem with making ACR Lite a requirement to play on the server. Warfare in its current form requires Combined Operations (OA + Arma 2) as well as being up to date via patches (1.62) so I see no problem why people can’t just go get an official patch to allow ACR Lite on the server. If we were asking them to download a third party mod then by all means I can see grounds not allowing but this is official BIS stuff.

Even Steam users can use the ACR Lite patch, it’s just installed as a mod folder in your game directory like any other mod and then activated via the in game mods menu. Hell it might even direct a few new forum users who can then provide further input to warfare aside from just us old-timers.

It would be more efficient to get ACR put on the server, and then have the mission put on. Surely?

Can't say I agree with Imp, its basically the same as having required mods, people looking through their server browser for a new server to try out will just get booted, give up, and not think anything of it. Yes, people ARE that lazy/ignorant. BiS need to get Steam to have a pop-up whenever CO is launched asking if people would like to install the ACR patch. And do the same for their own installer also.

I love new toys as much as the next person but there are still people that have been playing for some time and don't have TGW mods and maybe downloading mods/addons(ACR) is just too much for them so it pains me to say maybe waiting for BiS to pull there finger out is the only option

I wish BIS had just included ACR into the main patch like they did previous DLC.
ACR wasn't even that big, 50mb patch and just 100mb for ACR is still smaller (iirc) than the previous lite DLC patches. :?
