Probably one of the bigger over-sites the devs didn't think about.

Yeah, that's how people get kitted up too. Go to NW airport, especially during quiet periods, hang around the barracks, loot it, swap servers, rinse and repeat.

Nah that's silly. There are far better ways to do it without leaving the server.
