Hacks?

How'd you zero in like that? I would have had to aim a few centimetres above the target to account for bullet drop. Am I such a noob that I didn't know there's some easy way to auto-zero in on targets?

Yes

It's called modding, and it's very controversial apparently.

You just right click on the target and it automatically sets the distance, I am not sure if it is a mod that allows me to do this... I was under the impression that you can do it without mods (at least for the tanks).

AFAIK it doesn't work like that, vanilla style (which is what I play).

If I tell my AI to target something (while AI is gunner) they elevate the barrel to account for bullet drop. I could then switch to gunner and use the current barrels elevation to get the distance/drop fairly accurate. Normally I just fire a few shots off, get the distance, and adjust.

If I am gunner though, and I target something, it does nothing. My AI certainly don't automatically zero-in the gun for me, like yours did.

You did the same thing on the KA52 from what I could see.

I think the mod you are needing is the 'TGW Vehicle Fixes'

You can find more information on it here

Hmm they have always auto zeroed for me you just right click on the target and the gun auto ranges itself.

TBH it doesn't make any difference because it gives you the range on the screen and takes you a second to do it yourself.

Tunguska doesn't have zeroing without mod. Same with lots of other opfor vehicles.

If a vehicle has zeroing, right click on something and Turret will switch to autozero
