That's pretty wierd. I'm playing with no gamma adjustment (full brightness though) and can see chemlights up to 30m away reliably.

HDR is the keyword here. If it's on normal then gamma hax is useless. If it's on high or above then you'll be able to use it. I have no idea why this is, it's just how it is.

It's got to do with the bit depth and the way the gamma adjustment works. The HDR quality setting is basically a measure of how many bits deep the colour buffer is. More bits = more information = more room for the gamma to adjust.

Night might be fun for the CoD kids who hang around the southern cities to gank newbs/respawners like its some small map FPS, but out in the majority of the map its just tedious and doesn't add anything substantial.

obviously this doesn't apply to people with NVGs on.

On top of that darkness doesn't apply equally o everyone so its handicapping some people far more then others.

At the moment one GoN server is pitch black at 12:30pm and the other is bright as day... id say they are in different time zones.

Can someone confirm if this is true (RE: The GoN server with offset time). ANZ7 still seems to be on adelaide local time, so I presume ANZ8 is the offset one. Can't find out though, the servers just went down as I tried to join, hopefully for the update :D

Yep, updated.

I could set one server to an offset time... :)

I am gonna be so screwed when I log back in, I took advantage of the empty server, an cleared out all the bandit bodies in Electra (of which there wee dozens). looted everything I could. Server died as I was standing on top of the church clock tower across from the big tank statue....

If they were bandits why didn't you just shoot them? They probably had tonnes of good gear.
