Is it just me, or is there an increasing amount of hackers?

Had pretty much everything I could ever need, M14 AIM with plenty of ammo, G17, etc.

Get shot at, prone, bandage myself, I'm in the Fire station of NW Airfield at the bottom, surrounded by sandbags, closed doors, thinking, what? Then I get shot at again and I die.

Sigh.

Started out bad, turned into profitable night :D

* murdered in Berezino

* pinned on the roof of the Electro fire station by a CZ sniper from 700 yards away on the hill above the power station

* kill the 2 assault team members they send to kill me

* get down into cover and then die mysteriously

* run back to Electro and spend 20 minutes creeping over the hill trying to find said sniper

* pause behind a tree to talk to a friend and I see a pair of boots 15ft infront of me

* turns out it was actually 2 snipers.... with m107's

* 2 shots to the head each with dat dere trusty Makarov squirrel gun

* joocy lewts: big coyote packs, nvg's, dual 107's, dual m4-sd's, maps, compasses, knives, gps', hatchets, meat

* this just in: I'm fully geared from a single counter sniper operation

Hopefully someone learned their lesson, either set an overwatch or relocate between kills, i feel sorta bad, that was DAYS worth of farming that they lost because they wanted to snipe noobs in Electro.

Couldn't see names on the corpses either and nobody would own up to it being them, did have a silent drop in to the channel for a few seconds though, no hard feelings I hope lads  .

side note: whoever it was, i left you some lewts in that tent of yours, i was also 1000yards away watching and allowed your walk of shame back over the hill :D, had to keep your accessory goodies for my incoming companion however.

60gig a month

Im in the same boat as you mate.

I assume you have the steam version of ArmAII? Just get Steam Limiter and ensure that you only get unmetered content!

As for the DayZ files, they're only 100 odd mb from memory so you should be fine!

If you can't handle downloading the mod then you're in trouble, the game itself uses over 100mb an hour while playing.

Buy from Steam.
Select Internode as your Steam mirror source.
Play on ANZ7 and ANZ8.

ARMA2 + Operation Arrowhead is about 12GB. You could buy it from a store too, probably in a bargain bin somewhere.

So Internode does host the ArmaII install files on steam? Know alot of games are not hosted, for obvious storage limitations...

Edit -

Just put on Freys Steam Filter and set it to Internode and wont download. Found a more upto date listing of Internode servers and just whacked that in, then it worked.

Hate being on a RIM, crappy suburb infrastructure.

Isn't 3FL freezone for you guys now? They should have it too, so check between the two.

@Neko that story is awesome.

My day went like this:

Log in at Starry, find a friendly there, start browsing tents for loot. Log off to finish some ****, come back an hour later and continue.

Didn't realise someone logged on, and I end up being shot in the back.

Several respawns + 1 small excursion later, respawn next to Cherno, head to the supermarket. Food, drink, mags. Head to the church: more of the same.

Belly crawl to the firestation. AKS74u-Kobra, mag for it, binocs, revolver, heaps of stuff(you should really loot this place).

Belly crawl north to the edge of Cherno. Ooh, hospital... should I...? Shoot out windows, hide. Run in and collect 10 blood bags and antibiotics. Find an ALICE backpack in nearby building. Go back for rest of blood. Leave Cherno with 16 bags, an ALICE backpack and an AKS74u with Kobra sight.

All I could ever wish for.

How dont they work? As in it will still count towards my download limit? Or the speeds will be gimped? I just added these IPs to the Freys Filter *.ini and it seems to be working fine ATM. Will have to wait an hour or so and see if it is coming from my metered usage.

IP List: http://www.internode.on.net/residential ... ress_list/

Good point with iiNet though, anyone know if 3FL is unmetered now for Internode?

Freys filter does not work with the CDN, hence where the majority of where Games On Net have steam content cannot be accessed if you use Frey's irrelevant of if you have added the IP's or not.

In order to gain access to the CDN hosted content using a filter you need to use steamlimiter :) http://code.google.com/p/steam-limiter/

My last excursion to cherno ended up with me leaving with 5 blood bags, 3 painkillers, two tents, two sets of camo clothing (in addition to the set I was wearing), an M4A1 CCO (and one mag)...and 2000 blood. Would have been flawless, if it weren't for that meddling sniper!
