All i know is i was getting 50-60fps last week then yesterday all of a sudden i was only getting 25-30fps no matter how much i lowered the graphics settings. I really hope this works this gaming at 30fps is almost unbearable for me.

Oh and on OPERATION FLASHPOINT elitism i was playing the cold war crisis demo when you guys were still breastfeeding....maybe. Anyway there is plenty of room for everyone and the more the merrier!

Yeah I had the same issue with FPS, apparntly most did. Good to hear its possibly fixed :)

+1 to op flash point, that was my first venture into the arma engine. More players the better. Better for the developers and better for the modders.

Freeborne, I'm specifically trying to play the games.on.net server because it seems to be the only one that isn't pitch black when I join.

I can totally understand your frustration with this one. You will get on though, it just takes time. I recommend NOT spamming the enter button, as it puts a lot of strain on the server, and ruins the experience for everyone. Also sometimes the server crashes and you can get in then. People also tend to ragequit when they die, so a server slot frees up every couple of minutes. If I can get a group of 7 or 8 players in on ANZ7, I'm sure a veteran ArmA player with the kind of patience that entails can get just himself in.

I'm looking forward to putting in some hours on the weekend. Really hoping to crew-up as I'm sick of solo-ing as your survival odds are poor (cue someone saying how they've been alive and solo for 10 days and have a chopper and a shotgun).

Ok, I'm bandits really peeved me off today. Tomorrow I'm getting a CZ and going postal on your arses, and the zeds will attest to what happens when I go on a rampage. Prepare yourselves for combat.

On a side note, I did realise something about bandits today. Many of them are just noobs brought in by the DayZ hype, and appear to be no match for an ArmA veteran (oh my god, my ego is spilling over!) if they don't take them out in the first second (or if they have no ammo... ****, all I wanted was help :( ). Their tactical skills are terrible.

A few other guys and I want to fortify a town if you are interested. How we are even going to do that I've no idea.

I've been keeping an eye on some towns but couldn't find any bandits. Seems all the bandits left once I got some gear :(

Got a few people I need to..."talk to", in those towns :P

Seems bandits are harder to locate then I thought.

LOL. Fryzie. You're living in denial buddy.

Unless you play on other servers under a different name, you hardly ever play ArmA, but think because you played the game several years ago, you're a veteran.... Really? You're just back to play DayZ like every other player who's coming straight from COD, asking all the same questions (instead of intuitively figuring things out) and dying when you go up just a small handful of Z's

Wow, you two should get a room.

Like I've said before, I wish Day Z would shadow the development of Minecraft. Imagine finding a sandbag and barbed-wire and being able to build fortifications like that.. then let the owner of that site put on a door that only people in his group can open (which you'd make from sheet-metal and braces)... but make the walls vulnerable to explosives so a determined group could break in (using explosives made from chicken dung and whatever else).

I just look at the crafting options already in play and think BI should set a whole team towards making this the finest and most realistic apocalyptic game on the market.
