Hey Ballo
Was wondering if we could get this mod on the server?

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16542

Just a bit of a different look to the russian Technicals instead of the same old same old.

Cheers.

ZEUS mod is not restricted on server 1. I'm assuming the same goes for 2. From a warfare perspective this mod should be removed/disabled, either that or everyone should download it and go nuts. No doubt the impact this mod has on gameplay has been discussed before.

yes indeed. I am aware of its long history, but I mention it based on the information given on the front page of this topic;

"ZEU bikeys the these 2 are for zeus ai i think (2 are not sure aboot the last one)
makes th ai slightly better, howerver this recent version seems to limit your zooming (ironsight or regular looking zoom) ive decided to not run it anymore cos of this but , to each their own"

but that was 2010, which is obviously nolonger the case. I imagine I've missed info relating to the use of this mod.

You can delete the FOV part of the mod that comes with it so it doesn't limit your zoom anymore.

Put on Zeus and my AI in my vehicle start to spot kamovs 5km away behind hills which I can then lock onto with my avenger/linebacker.

This really isn't anymore **** than giving T55s tab lock and Su25s/A10 MWS, so I don't see why THAT isn't allowed. Zeus gives a huge advantage... So give me my damn Su25 mws please...

You don't need to run Zeus locally, it's server side.

Also Ball, you running Six on the server?

Take zeus off the server it's so ****.

It breaks SMAWS and it makes the AI spray all over the shop I got rid of it ages ago. One less thing that might be causing server crashes.

While we are at it take SLX off too.

wtf dude? Like I said, Zeus lives server side, not on your machine.
It does NOT cause server crashes.

epsmon is the AI mod you really want to use.

I'm pretty sick of people talking ****.

Again Zeus AI breaks certain game play elements as many people know because I have made them aware of it. It makes the AI worse in some situations and better in others but overall I think it has a negative impact.

How would you know what causes server crashes and what doesn't. As I said in my original post it's one less thing that might be contributing to it and until Hydra figures out whatever it is no one can rule anything out.

I tried Zeus mod on official OA mission, the AI team leader dont go straight to the airport but went out and hunt the stray enemy patrols. Cant complete the mission at all =_=

Played with zeus mod again with ZGM warefare on ovaron map, had vehicle firefight at 2 km away with clear line of sight.....kinda cool when you have a group of LAV

Basker kinda right, better AI = more processing power. Even warefare server running without AI enhancement mod is being put to it's knees on full slots. That's when you see the town enemy AI just standing there staring at you blankly.

Zeus on server = All enemy spawned by server will have the benefit of Zeus
Zeus on PC = Player AI will have the benefit

If Zeus has server side components... then wouldn't that make it a prime suspect in the case of the crashing server? :|
