Warhammer Retail client (DVD) warpatch.exe problem

I had a problem of not being able to run the game after installation. However, I came across this forum with a fix and I am patching now. This has something to do with a corrupt file in the DVD or something. Just download the warpatch.exe file from this forum and overwrite the existing file.

I got this blurb in an email from them this morning..

We have identified an issue with the Warhammer Online Standard Editions in AU and NZ. Some of you have mentioned that after installing the game, there is no icon on your desktop (the shortcut would look like a small black window).

Please be aware that we are aware of the problem and have investigated the cause of it. There was a dvd duplication error and as a result, the exe file is corrupted. This issue only affects Warhammer Standard Editions in AU and NZ. Collector Editions are not affected. Read on for instructions on how to resolve this issue.


So is it as they say? Just the icon missing?
Or can't you play at all.
I have my disk's but havent had to use them since i played open beta

You can play, you just have to download the warpatch.exe from somewhere and it will run fine. Theres a few places to get it now.

yeah mine managed to do this the other day nfi why, but my WARpatch.exe exploded, re downloaded and it was fine
