Mount and Blade: Fire and Sword Creators to Tackle Naval Pir

Unread postby News Portal » 3 Jul 12, 2:15 pm

The developers of the Mount and Blade expansion With Fire & Sword are working alongside the original developers of the Mount and Blade series, TaleWorlds Entertainment, on a new whole new game experience. Caribbean! uses the improved Mount and Blade: With Fire & Sword engine to bring you a naval action-RPG set in the 17th century Caribbean, in the Golden Age of Piracy. Create your own pirate tale and plunder the high seas! Head over to the official announcement for all the details and features of the game. Looks like we'll be swabbing the decks and sitting on a dead man's chest this coming September.

uses the improved Mount and Blade: With Fire & Sword engine

Fire and Sword was originally a mod for the first Mount & Blade game and did not include Any improvements that Warband had and it also left over a large number of bugs/glitchs that was fixed in Warband.

Some say Fire and Sword slightly improved the overall combat hitboxs and responsiveness when compared to Warband, Other than that Fire and Sword is a glorified Mod

I would imagine they would use Warbands latest build as that is more up to date than F&S

I'm pretty sure WFAS is on the Warband engine... only Warband and WFAS have normal mapping, which the original game lacks, which is why I think it uses the Warband engine.

It's still an awesome game multiplayer either way, I actually prefer it to Napoleonic Wars.

Nope, it uses the old M&B engine unfortunately.

Everything I recall, but can't seem to find now, says that Warband is still the more up to date engine as well.

Game looks cool though!
