Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Receives Latest Patch From Dedicated Community

Unread postby News Portal » 2 Jul 12, 2:35 pm

You guys remember Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines? Man, good times. Well, for some, those good times are still going strong, as the community over at DLH.net are still making and releasing patches. The latest one has just been released, and they continue to fix a lot of the problems left behind by the now defunct Troika Games. For a full list of changes, head over here.

Ah I loved this game back in the day, might fire it up again with all these patches and see if they added removed quests/dialogue back in the game and if they've cleaned it up nicely.

Ah Troika, released great games, but so buggy.

Last time I installed Vampire TMB and the community patch I was amazed by how much better it is I could barely even play the game before trying the community changes. Without the community patch the game is really unfinished.

Bravo community! Last I heard of this patch was years ago and it was only version 3.1. :o

There is one other unofficial patch that still gets updated called the "true patch gold edition". If you are ever going to play the game again (I know I will soon!) then check that out as well.

Just so you know, according to the site, version 8.1 is still a Beta release (Beta 2 to be exact).

Not enough to make me install it again. I think three times through with various patch flavours is enough.

The patch is a lie! It says the patche is hosted on Filefront yet Filefront(gamefront) has only got 6.4 as the latest unofficial patch. That patch I already have and it is really good I might try the other unofficial patch.

I'd recommend the Camarilla mod, as well as having all the unofficial patches it adds a heap of extra content including extra and completely redesigned powers.

Great game. I updated to 7.2 mod/patch just on a year ago. Still haven't re-played it beyond first leaving the my though.
I remember this as the most 'adult' themed game I played up to that point.
