Yeah I heard that all the Castle Hill stock went to Parramatta so they're probably up there with Castle Hill but that's too far to get to for me. :( I went to Gametraders CH every time I went to the shops, the people knew me I was there so often. I remember the first time I set foot in their store, I was like a kid in a candy store. So many games I regret not getting when I had the chance. All the sales they started having should have been the first clue that things weren't going well. I personally blame everyone who didn't shop there.

cjs-cdkeys and steam are the future.

But I like stores! For ages I wouldn't get steam, and even now, I would prefer to go to a shop.

There were just some things I wanted which I couldn't find in-store anymore. (Plus some things which I can only get on steam)

I don't want to see them go though...

Any particular reason why you prefer a store? I generally go into one, see a limited selection of PC games at fairly lame prices, then a more varied selection of consoles games at even lamer prices. During a sale at EB or a department store you get the pleasure of trying to navigate the narrow pathways between shelves, whining kids, and uncouth lads. Though the GAME at Broadway I occasionally went to was usually pretty empty.

Easier to get refunds, the fuzzy feeling of actually going out to get a new product rather than sitting around waiting for it to come to you.

Recently i purchased a second hand PS3 to play the Dust 514 Beta, while shopping around i walking into one of game's last stores.
60% of everything, absolute fire-sale, i walked out with 8 preowned games. uncharted, just cause 2, the entire Resistance series, infamous, Red Faction and just for the hell of it, Duke Nukem.
just for 94 bucks (next to the 160 for the PS3). i am set for the next couple of months for casual console gaming.

Its sad to see a company collapse but damn I'm not going to forget them. Its given me the opportunity to see how the other side of the fence plays.

To any GAME staff who read this: Best of luck in your future endeavors

My brother and I grabbed a bunch of stuff from the Rouse Hill store today, i'll show the spoils in the latest purchase thread later.

A question though, has JB always been so stupid cheap? I know they're generally cheaper but Game marked their X360 (250gb with Halo Reach, Fable 3, GoW2 and 5 XBLA games) down from $449 to $329, yet JB had the same pack plus a headset (I hope that's just advertising because i'd assume the 360 would come with one like mine did) and a HDMI cable for $349. :?
